New Tokyo Haneda runway expansion joints
ALGA will supply the expansion joints for the 4th runway of Tokyo Haneda Airport.
The ALGA expansion joint will be an ALGA R type with steel plates, designed to support the heaviest planes like Airbus A380 or Boeing B747 during landing and take off. The total movement allowed is 1.2 meters in both longitudinal and transversal direction in case of anearthquake.
The expansion joints, which are globally 1100 meters long and weigh 6000 tons, will all be produced and supplied by ALGA during 2009.
